Last updated: June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on this website and how to manage your preferences, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive and the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidelines of 10 June 2021.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device; together with similar technologies (e.g. the browser's localStorage) they enable the site to work or deliver third-party services.
Technical and necessary cookies
The site is static and uses no first-party profiling cookies. To remember your choice on the banner we store a technical preference in the browser's localStorage (the “cookie-consent” item). These are essential and do not require consent.
Anonymous, cookieless analytics
For visit statistics we use Umami in anonymous, cookieless mode: data is aggregated, does not identify users and is kept on servers in the European Union. We do not use Google Analytics or profiling tools.
Third-party services
Some features rely on external providers that, when used, may set cookies under their own responsibility:
• Google Maps — map on the “Pompeii” page (Google Ireland Ltd. — policies.google.com/privacy);
• Octorate — booking engine: clicking “Check availability” redirects you to book.octorate.com, where Octorate uses technical session cookies (octorate.com).
The contact form (Web3Forms) processes the data you send but sets no cookies on this site.
Legal basis and consent
Technical cookies rely on the legitimate interest in operating the site. Non-essential third-party cookies require your consent, which you can give or refuse via the banner shown on entry and withdraw at any time.
How to manage or withdraw consent
You can change your choice by clearing the site data in your browser (the banner will reappear on the next visit) or manage and block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Disabling some cookies may limit features such as the interactive map.
Retention and non-EU transfers
The lifetime of third-party cookies is set by the respective providers. Some (e.g. Google) may transfer data to non-EU countries under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
Rights and complaints
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection by writing to info@bbecopompei.it; you may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Drafted in line with the legislation in force as of June 2026; for specific cases a review by a legal professional is advisable.
